Special discounts fares are available to school and tertiary students, but you must have a pass. This pass enables passengers to travel on all route services. The information below provides eligible passengers with information on how to get a pass.

Obtaining a Pass:

Any full-time student attending an approved Educational Institution can obtain a pass.

First complete one (1) YELLOW form including school signature, school stamp and parent/guardian signature. Then complete a BLUE form for each pass period. Parent/guardian signature required only. Forms available mid-January from:

Students must ensure they carry their pass at all times and show it to the driver before travelling. If lost, the student has 24 hours to find their pass before they must apply for a replacement at the cost of $5.00. Only two passes at a time can be purchased for one student. Passes are non-transferable and can be used for school purposes only on recognised school days.

NB: The pass is not valid for travel during School Holidays. Parents only pay for the four weeks the pass is valid for travel.

Passes not valid on weekends, public holidays or during Christmas Vacation.

Purchasing a pass:

Passes should be purchased the week before the pass period commences at the Murray Bridge Passenger Service Office OR via the bus driver. Payment can be made by cash or cheque only. Cheques payable to Murray Bridge Passenger Service. If paying cash or cheque to driver, please include the completed signed form along with the correct money or cheque in a sealed envelope. NB: Payment and form must be submitted together, not separately.

Prices are not affected by student numbers. Pass period dates are set in accordance with the Public School term. Discounts do not apply regardless of usage or student-free days. The pass must be shown to the driver each time the student travels. Only two passes at a time can be purchased in advance per student. Passes are non-transferable. If the pass is not purchased by the Specified pass period date, Students must purchase a single fare before travelling and can be refused travel without a fare. The same conditions apply to TERTIARY PASSES except pass periods are set according to calendar months. A new form must be completed each month and signed by the student and signed and stamped by an Authorised Officer from the corresponding Educational Institution.
